So, you know I’m all about a good deal and I’ve been looking around for a free pattern for an owl hat to make for my nephew for a while now. I’ve found a few and all of them look awful! I was just about to break down and spend four or five dollars on a pattern, when I came across this cute little pattern. It’s pretty much what I wanted and I can’t really complain because it was free! The pattern was easy to follow and relatively simple. I did a few adjustments… I changed the needle size to a “K”, because I don’t have a “J”, shortened the ears a little, and used brown for the beak because it’s what I had on hand. I think it turned out pretty nice, especially since I didn’t have to spend a dime on it. Hopefully, it fits him!
